Three Unforgettable Days in Jasper, CO

I just got back from an incredible three-day trip to Jasper, Colorado, and I can’t wait to share the experience with you. My husband Guy and I packed up our trusty van, “The DIVA,” and hit the road for a six-hour mountain adventure.

The drive itself was spectacular winding roads, (not Guys favorite) scenic views, and plenty of good conversation to keep us from getting bored. I think I was worried, and it showed. Meeting someone for the first time is never easy, but Bill and Louise are the most gracious couple I have ever met.

Our first night was a real treat. Bill, Guy’s childhood friend, and his wife Louise welcomed us into their home. Louise cooked us a delicious dinner, it was the perfect way to kick off our trip. The warmth of their hospitality made us feel right at home, and I appreciated every minute of it.

The next day, we headed to one of Louises friend’s house for a card party. It was a laid-back, fun afternoon filled with good friends, laughter, and a hilarious game of spoons. It’s amazing how a simple game can bring people together and make you forget about everything else for a while.

On our last evening, Guy and I decided to do something spontaneous, we took their ATVs up the mountain for a ride. And wow, I’ve got a new perspective on the Colorado Rockies now. The scene was simply unbelievable. I’ve seen pictures and heard stories, but seeing those vast, majestic peaks in person was a whole different experience. It’s a kind of beauty that just takes your breath away.

One of the highlights was visiting the spot where Bill and Guy got their truck stuck in the snow just two years before. Fun little memory for them. How timeless the place truly feels.

Overall, this trip was one I will cherish forever. There’s something special about spending time with friends, exploring new places, and witnessing such stunning scenery. It left me feeling refreshed and grateful.

Do you have a memory of when you were completely surprised by how beautiful your surroundings were? I’d love to hear about it! Sometimes, the most unexpected views turn out to be the most unforgettable.

Thanks for reading about my little mountain adventure. I think I’ll be dreaming of Jasper for a long, long time.
