The first time I watched her she convinced me she was sick just to get me to call her parents who were vacationing in Puerto Rico. She put on such a convincing act—whimpering, looking all sad and pitiful—that I couldn’t bear to leave her alone. Only to discover later that she was perfectly fine, happily snoring away beside me. When I go visit she follows me around the house every time I get up, like a furry little shadow, just to make sure she doesn’t miss any opportunity for food or cuddles.

One of Mini’s most endearing and hilarious qualities is her obsession with squirrels. She can be lounging around, looking all calm and composed, and then—bam! She spots a squirrel and transforms into a high-speed chase machine. Those little legs move so fast, you’d think she was training for the Dog Olympics.
