Hey, faithful readers: Let me tell you something real. I have suffered with panic attacks and anxiety for some time now. And in this world, constantly buzzing with uncertainty, I have realized that learning to live my life worry free right now isn’t a luxury—it’s a sanity strategy. I mean, how many times have you woken up after 8 hours of sleep with your brain spinning like a washing machine of stress? Well no more! I am bound and determined to kick this once and for all. I have been reading this book by a guy named Shawn Johnson, and I am convinced that I am on my way to freedom https://www.amazon.com/Attacking-Anxiety-Panicked-Depressed-Alive/dp/1400230691
So here is the game plan that I have been working on to handle anxiety. We’re talking practical, no-nonsense strategies that have been helping me kick worry to the curb and actually enjoy my life. I’m not here to preach some magical solution, just real talk about finding inner calm. Here is what I am learning. Do you have some specific strategies that you have learned? Please share.
1. Embrace Mindfulness
A Path To Live Life Worry Free
Being more mindful in my daily prayer and meditation. This is the cornerstone of living worry free. I am anchoring myself in the present moment. Focusing on those things that are important to me and my family. The benefits are:
– Reduce stress and anxiety: How do you do this? Do you have any suggestions?
– Improve mental clarity: No matter how much I try, without intention my thoughts are not always clear.
– Develop a more positive outlook: I am pretty positive anyway, but I can tend to get a little overwhelmed if I do not have enough sleep. https://www.mindful.org/meditation-101
Do any of you practice mindfulness or have ideas on better meditation practices? Let me know.
2. Develop a Resilient Mindset
I’m learning that I have to transform my thought patterns. This is crucial to living my life worry free. I’m learning to:
– Reframe any negative thoughts: I like doing this one, because I have been doing this since I was a child. I can step it up now though.
– Build emotional strength: Here is the big one. I am an emotional being. God gave me lots of emotion. However, learning to control them when I need to will be key. Any suggestions?
– Practice self-compassion: This one comes easy for me, so I will do more of the same. Understanding Emotional Resilience/emotional-resilience/
